Why I choose Wigs for Kids
Wigs for Kids is a nonprofit organization that makes quality hand tied wigs for children up to 18 years old experiencing medical hair loss. The value of wigs can be anywhere to hundreds or thousands of dollars, and unlike other popular organizations, Wigs for Kids does NOT charge families for the hair pieces.
Wigs for Kids also has a longer length requirement for donation to give kids the option to have longer wigs-which are much harder to come by. The overall goal is to help relieve a financial burden on families and give kids the opportunity to feel like the most confident version of themselves,
Donation Guidelines
Length requirement: Wigs for Kids has a donation length minimum of 12 inches and encourages 14 inches if possible to help make longer wigs available as well. When donating hair make sure to account for extra length to be removed for an even haircut after ponytails have been cut out.
Hair must be free of bleach, dye, henna, and perms-virgin hair only.
When booking a donation service with Katie you will receive 20% off of your donation service as well as 20% off your next haircut in the salon. Every service includes a wash and style, and your donation will be taken care of/delivered FREE of charge.
